Well, there is - finally - some movement at the station...

We are in the process of the (rather large) project to completely REBUILD THE DATABASE of the Plasnet Directory.. and about time too, you may join us to shout out loud!!

Thus, the Directory has been taken offline until this work is done.

Various other aspects of Plasnet® will change also, including the ability for Registered Members to Add / Edit Listing entries and to purchase Featured Listings and other Advertising. Crikey, we may even give the site yet another facelift.

There may well be other policy changes along the way and we ask that you stay with us in the transition.
Existing members will recieve a newsletter in due course.

Attention Visitors...

We are trying to help a Plasnet User locate a manufacturer - preferably in Australia.

Below are pictures of the "pad - eye" as it is know in marine circles. They are like a plumbers pipe saddle.

Pad - eyes are used to secure seat clips, bungee cords and other items onto boats, canoes and kayaks, they are made from plastic and also stainless steel, we are seeking a manufacturer of the plastic version. They are typically 4 - 6 cm long, 2 -3 cm high and 5 - 8 mm thick (cross-section). The internal diameter is large enough for a 15 mm diameter round rope.

We are not sure of plastic compound used but safe to say - able to withstand marine and outdoor conditions for long periods of time.
